Rem Koolhaas is an architect and urbanist, founder and head of the OMA bureau and one of the inspirers and creators of the educational program at Strelka Institute. A new movie, shot by the son of architect Tomas Koolhaas, is an attempt to tell about this man through the objects he created - De Rotterdam, Seattle Public Library, CCTV building in Beijing, villas and the 14th Venice Biennale.
Premiered at the Venice Film Festival, the film by Tomas Koolhaas should become ‘the first documentary film fully exploring human conditions inside and outside buildings’. The Guardian named the movie ‘a very deep and touching portrait of Rem through the eyes of his son admiring father’. According to the director himself, this is a story about architecture and a human inside.
Tomas Koolhaas will personally present the movie and answer questions from the audience after the screening.
