While trying to make the world a better place and save a person, an ambulance doctor finds himself in a funnel of a real personal crisis. And yet he leaves personal worries behind the board when treating patients. His wife wants a divorce. The new boss appears at work — a cynic with no chance to find a common language. As a result, the protagonist is as talented in the profession as helpless in his personal life. Actors, Alexander Yatsenko and his pair Irina Gorbacheva, look contrastingly together. That is how this film represents a discourse on whether it is enough to choose the right thing to do every day to be happy.
The picture on the screen is truthful with almost discomfort, it is free from usual cinema gloss also. Many episodes of the film are based on real stories of ambulance doctors. During the shooting, there was an experienced consultant doctor on the set, whose advices were followed by the actors. The movie was awarded the Main Prize at the ‘Kinotavr’ festival in 2017.
The Moscow premiere of the film will be held in the framework of the second international Otkritie x Strelka Film Festival, supported by Otkritie Bank and MasterCard. The programme includes Russian and Moscow premieres of the movies from different countries selected by curator Stas Tyrkin.
