DEMOCRATIC MICRO-TRANSFORMATIONS: MUTATIONS OF THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE/ SEGREGATION LANDSCAPES

This project delves into the world of the microrayon (the self-sufficient suburban districts within the Moscow Region), taking a its case study the area of Bibirevo, a neighborhood where apartment buildings are all but identical, repeating the exact same exterior facades and interior layouts. The project attempts to learn more about Bibirevo to understand how such areas function in the context of a post-Communist society.
