(Re) Inhabiting Russian Avant-Garde

Tamara's research focused on the Russian avant-garde, an important part of Russian architectural heritage that is often neglected. She looked particularly at the workers’ settlements of the period, and found that there is a severe lack of knowledge and data about the buildings, which still house 95,000 people in Moscow today. The government has recently lowered the level of architectural preservation status on some of the buildings, opening the way for them to be demolished or altered.
