Annually Wallpaper* publishes a country-focused issue. Determined on looking beyond the easy headlines and getting up and close and personal with the creative drivers of the world’s emerging economies – China in 2009, Brazil in 2010, India in 2011 and Russia in 2012 – 15 Wallpaper* staffers and local stringers produce each issue from ‘pop-up’ offices in two major cities in each country.

The team interview, shoot and collaborate with the country’s leading architects, artists, designers, photographers and cultural entrepreneurs to produce an issue from within rather than without. Each issue is a face-to-face engagement with – and showcase for – the creative communities of each country. And a crucial part of that engagement is a series of happenings and events.

The lecture will be followed by a party in Bar Strelka with the participation of all Wallpaper editors.
