Jari Inkinen graduated from the interior architecture department of the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1991. He defended his masters' thesis in 2007 at the Tampere University of Technology. He and his wife, Hanna Gullstén, founded Gullstén-Inkinen Design & Architecture in 1988. Jari was operating Chairman of the Board at SIO from 1998-2000 and chairman of the Ornamo foundation from 2006-2010.

Veli-Matti Savo joined Martela in 2002. Since then, the company has boosted production and entered the Russian market. Matti Martela opened the first Martela factory in 1945. Back then the idea of developing and selling interesting and well-designed office future was revolutionary. The first order, from the Finnish government, was for a mere 50 tables. Today, Martella is a leading Finnish company, with factories Finland, Sweden, and Poland.
