Texts about the city are not necessarily architectural critique, historical guide or economicnon-fiction. "Just kids" by Patti Smith is a book about New York to the same extend as the book about music and photo of Mapplethorpe, "Ali and Nino" - a guide about Baku, and not just a novel about love. Good text about the city is not required to be thickvolume of Peter Ackroyd: sometimes witty caption in instagram can tell everything you need to know. To write texts about the city, not necessarily even be interested inurbanism, but you need to take an interest in life.

Participants of the workshop will try different ways to describe the life of a Moscowdistrict (Izmailovo) – and will make a special project for Afisha.Gorod.

Head of the workshop:
Ekaterina Dementieva – Afisha.Gorod editor-in-chief.

  • Number of participants: 20
  • The participants will be selected by motivation letter
  • Application deadline: July 31st

The workshop is organized in frames of the Urban treasures hunt series of the workshops.
