The first screening in the series of events – the Russian big screen premiere of Flesh and Bone, a new drama series about the dark side of ballet from ‘Breaking Bad’ screenwriter and producer Moira Walley-Beckett.
Claire, portrayed by ‘Black Swan’ star Sarah Hay, is a talented but emotionally troubled dancer, joins a company in New York City, and soon finds herself immersed in the tough and often cutthroat world of professional ballet. ‘Flesh and Bone’ is a gritty, complex series that explores the dysfunction and glamour of the ballet world.
The series will be presented by Marina Pravkina, ‘Matreoshki in jazz’ dancer and choreographer. Before the screening Marina will talk about the ups and downs of being a dancer.
