An energetic crime drama by the youngest participants of the Cannes Contest 2017 — the Safdie brothers. According to American critics, (Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Telegraph), here Robert Pattinson plays the best role in his career — a bank robber named Connie, whose carefree lifestyle still allows him to take care of his younger brother Nick with mental retardation (played by one of the directors — Benny Safdie). The action is rapidly unfolding for one night — Connie takes his brother as a partner in the next carefully thought out crime. At first, Nick seems to be doing just fine, but then despite the convincing plan the robbery fails and helpless Nick finds himself in prison. Connie embarks on a twisted odyssey through the city's underworld in an increasingly desperate — and dangerous — attempt to get his brother out of jail. But each new step he makes brings a new threat to Connie. He has to decide how far he is ready to go to return someone else's freedom.
‘Good Time’ received the Prize for the best soundtrack at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2014 the Safdie brothers were awarded the C.I.C.A.E. Prize at the Venice Film Festival for the movie ‘Heaven Knows What’.
