Participants in the AgroHackathoneducational programme will learn how to optimize the maintenance of a home garden, assemble a hydroponic installation, and create a green interior with plants. The public programme includes lectures and master classes on urban farming, and in parallel here will be a marathon for creating smart facilities for the cultivation of decorative, edible, and medicinal plants in urban conditions.
During the hackathon, participants will create their own smart growbox or design for plants and compete in four categories:
- Universal garden for an urban apartment house
- Design for plants on a windowsill or a balcony
- Smart home garden management system
- Off-season garden in the courtyard of Strelka Institute
The proposed projects should be original, technically feasible during the hackathon, and stay in working order in the future. The marathon will be interesting to designers, architects, and inventors who are interested in smart green space and urban gardens.
The Hackathon will last for 24 hours. You can form a team to participate in the marathon in advance, find colleagues on site, or perform the task by yourself. Applications are accepted until August 30. The Institute producer will contact you to confirm participation.
