Inna Pokazanyeva

THE NEW NORMAL
Inna Pokazanyeva has been developing research on travel journalism, representation of the Other in the media, and Travel 2.0 since 2010. In 2011, she graduated from Kurgan State University with a specialist degree in Journalism, after which she enrolled in a PhD program at St. Petersburg State University. She conducted a 9-month fellowship at Emerson College in Boston, where she was a visiting researcher as a Fulbright Grantee. Her professional career includes TV reporting, writing for news media, and on-site photography. She currently works in the field of design and illustration. Her current research interests lie in the integration of media studies and design, and merging their tools to unfold the mythology behind enhanced digital spaces, with a particular focus on the spectacularization of the landscape by the media: the city built beyond its physical boundaries in its complex digital context.
