Breathtaking screen life thriller produced by Timur Bekmambetov: a teenage girl goes missing

After David Kim's 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter's laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter's digital footprints before she disappears forever.The film directed by Aneesh Chaganty and produced by Timur Bekmambetov premiered at 2018 Sundance Film Festival where it won Audience Award and Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize.

The Russian premiere of the film will be held as part of the third international Strelka Film Festival by Okko. The programme includes Russian and Moscow premieres of films from different countries selected by curator Stas Tyrkin. Winners of and participants in international competitions, including festivals in Cannes, Berlinale and Sundance and the Russian Kinotavr, will be presented in a series of eleven film screenings. The festival is supported by Okko, a streaming service that develops projects provoking viewers’ interest in cinema. Its’ collection includes blockbusters, popular series, short films and independent movies. Okko also supports festivals and hold special screenings.The curator of the film festival is Stas Tyrkin: film critic, member of the Moscow International Film Festival selection committee, program director of the Dvijenie festival and curator of the cinema course at the Gogol Center.
