SYBL is an open simulation, testing and programming environment that enables traditionally isolated computational simulations to connect with each other. It links data markets of models, datasets, real-time feeds and multiple visualization engines by introducing a common data format capable of converging results across
multiple scales and disciplines. The platform extends popular programming and simulation engines by introducing a modular ecosystem where simulation models can be combined, increasing their resolution, accuracy and dynamic complexity.

By creating an integrated space for testing digital twins of complex real world systems, the project speculates on simulation as mimicry, where ecosystems of digital twins begin to co-evolve and start reshaping infrastructure and organisations.
